Charlotte Bronte Is Jealous…

Tuesday, August 14th by Shane

Her sister has just won the most romantic book award according to this survey, and Charlotte is at lousy number four. Wuthering Heights is considered the most romantic book ever, followed by Pride and Prejudice, Romeo and Juliet, and Jane Eyre. 2,000 readers weighed in on the survey on what books they felt were romantic and why, but I was obviously not part of the survey as I saw no mention of this.

I hate to write, and maybe you do too. Well, we’re not alone according to this post from After the MFA, which, along with the comments that follow, illustrate that while we enjoy what we’ve written, the actual writing part is just downright terrible. So don’t feel guilty about it, you lazy jerk.

If you think Bomb has great author interviews, you can thank me later. According to The Millions, the magazine has opened their archives to the public, and it looks like they have some great articles to peruse. So finish reading this and go there.

But make sure you also read this, which is an attack on magical realism. Actually, it’s not the controversial attack on Gabo and Salman Rushdie I thought it was going to be, as he actually likes them, and I don’t really know what his point is aside from not liking bad writing. Yeah, just skip this and go to Bomb.
