Question:

In one of the stories when Watson walks into 221b, Holmes is reading a book. Can you please let me know the name of the book,author

I read this Sherlock holmes story about 12 years back. Watson finds it strange that Sherlock holmes reads any books other than his history of crime or his chemical experiments. Sherlock feels this book could change the point of view you look at hisotry. I have trying to find the story where this happens but have not succeeded. Please help.
