When Takeda Katsuyori’s initial plan against his enemy, Tokugawa Ieyasu, collapsed, he decided to attack Tokugawa’s lightly garrisoned Nagashino Castle instead. However, Takeda let the Siege of Nagashino Castle, which began on June 16, 1575, with little success, become an obsession. To lift the siege, Oda Nobunaga led an allied army containing samurai who were subject to Ieyasu and Toyotomi Hideyoshi....
