Mr. Harris
Mr. Harris is Abner Snopes's current landlord-employer when the story ‘‘Barn Burning’’ opens. Snopes has burnt down Harris's barn and Harris has brought Snopes up on charges; the case is being heard by the local justice of the peace in the general store. Mr. Harris is a man affronted. He tells the story of his grievance himself.
