Students Speak Out On Overall Experience

“Overall experience? I mean, overall, it’s a cool place. The thing is, I’ve found that college is an experience, so you’re asking a good question. I mean, Bard has the parties and the booze—crazy amounts of booze—there’s drugs if you want them, and yeah, there’s the sex, too, and no one complains about that much. But hey, seriously, there’s all that, and it’s a good school, but you know the deal is that I really think I understand myself. I think Bard helped me find that. So, come on, Bard’s a good place to be, and totally worth the green.”

“I came to Bard and didn’t like it. As a freshman, I found it weird and boring. People were lame and dorky. This year, it seems better. Maybe I’ve somehow changed and become more of a dork, but I’m more into Bard now than I was. You can’t complain about the classes, but sometimes the parties just suck. Bard is definitely a place that appeals to only certain people. I still don’t know if I’m that person yet.”
