the latest planet that was found is of a planet that can harvest water and life.

the latest event is of a a nebulous girdle of dark matter that was found, which According to a scientist at John Hopkins university was most probably the corollary of a colossal cosmic crush that happened eons ago.

This circle of hazy matter was discovered with the help of a Hubble Space Telescope, which took pictures that showed the ring of dark matter, which was supposedly a repercussion of the collision of two-galaxy clusters that happened about five-billion light-years farther from the Earth.

Astronomers are gaining knowledge daily as they continue to receive IR and radio images from various satellites and probes in space. It is currently thought that dark matter is approximately 2/3rds of the universe although we don't really know what it is because we can not see it.

    In our solar system:
-The latest addition to the plutoid classification of dwarf planets in our solar system was named MakeMake in July 2008.
