Zozimus

Zozimus [Na].
Greek historian living in the early 6th century ad who wrote a history of the last days of the western Roman empire, Nea Historia, which is especially important for understanding the collapse of Roman administration in Britain. However, living and working in Greece, Zozimus drew heavily on other works, particularly the twenty-volume History of Olympiodorus, an Egyptian Greek, who provided extensive commentary on late Roman times. Zozimus' own work is generally regarded as rather unreliable.
