Zawisza, Count Jan
Zawisza, Count Jan (1820–87) [Bi].Polish antiquary specializing in research into the Palaeolithic. Between 1873 and 1886 he excavated at the Upper Palaeolithic levels in the Mamutowa Cave on the Kluczwoda River north of Krokow in southern Poland.[Bio.: Partyka, J, 1992, Ojcòw i archeologia w latach 1871–1924.
