imbrication [De].A term applied to the overlapping arrangement of ORTHOSTATS forming the side walls of some Neolithic CLYDE–CARLINGFORD tombs in the west of Britain. Starting from the front of the chamber each pair of orthostats overlaps with the pair in front on the outside.
