Chapter 10 begins with the poem "Africa" and goes on to describe an encounter between Ikem and the taxi drivers.  This serves as a contrast to Ikem's experience in the previous chapter, when he was visiting the Presidential Palace.  There are two realities in Africa - the reality of those in power and the reality of those actually living in the communities.  Chapter 9 focuses on power.  Chapter 10 focuses on the communities.  The taxi drivers are members of the community, and Ikem has lost touch with that community.  Unfortunately, Ikem will not come to understand this fact before being executed for his ideas.
