Summary: Many thin celebrities are targets of the media and are often labeled as anorexics. Talk show hosts deliver jokes about how all models must starve themselves in order to be successful. Our society has come to accept that skinny is synonymous with anorexia and, as a result, has trivialized a very serious and often deadly disease. By making light of such a terrible illness, we demonstrate our ignorance to the fact that living with anorexia is an agonizing experience. We must stop trivializing and mocking anorexia and begin to approach it with the same sensitivity...
