Only you can answer this question. I can tell you what insights into myself and other people that I gained from reading the book, but that wouldn't help you. Your teacher wants to know your opinion of the book, your thoughts about people in the time of the novel and now. You might start by comparing your lifestyle and education to Anne's. She was an orphan who was shuttled from family to family until settling with Matthew and Marilla. Does that make you appreciate your own family more? Anne and the other children went to a one-room schoolhouse. Would you like that kind of school, or do you prefer today's schools?
