    The most important thing Anne did was to stay positive herself as much as possible. She wrote in her diary: "Whoever is happy will make others happy too. He who has courage and faith will never perish in misery!" She never gave up. Always looking to the future, she revised her diary with the intention that it would someday be published.

    Other things she did were to paste pictures of movie stars on the walls of her bedroom. She encouraged the others to celebrate Hanukkah and made a lampshade hat and gave presents to the others.
