I know that Auguste Van Pels (or Petronella van Daan in the diary) died, but does anyone know the day of her end?

    It sounds as if she is one of the victims of the Holocaust whose exact date of death will never be known. She spent time in Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, and Buchenwald concentration camps. On April 8, 1945 the remaining captives at Buchenwald were started on a death march to Theresienstadt. She died either on the march, or shortly after arriving at Theresienstadt, but it sounds as if no one will ever know for sure.
