Animal Farm

   The farm is taken from Mr. Jones and is then controlled by the animals, particularly, Napoleon and Snowball. A new philosophy is put in place known as animalism. 

   "THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS
   1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
   2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
   3. No animal shall wear clothes.
   4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
   5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
   6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
   7. All animals are equal."

   The new form of government that replaces human control is defined by the above set of laws.  However, Snowball comes up with a simple interpretation for most of the animals, since they can't read, he tells them: 

   "Four legs good, two legs bad." 

   But the system put in place that is a symbolic representation of communism begins to favor those in power, Napoleon, the other pigs and the dogs, and begins to deprive the other animals of anything but the very minimum needed for survival. 

   Food is limited, the animals are made to work hard, while those in power begin to act more and more like humans, a strict violation of animalism.    

   The system of government that manages the farm under the control of the animals is more corrupt than when the humans were in control.
