He sees nothing wrong withrewriting the past, as he does when he convinces the animals that Snowball had never received an award for being an "Animal Hero, First Class". He uses appeals to pathos and logos frequently when explains why the pigs need all the things that they have. For instance, since they are doing all the thinking, they need the milk and apples more than the other farm animals. He conveniently forgets that a major reason for the revolution was so all animals could share in the harvest of their labors. He is always thinking up new slogans and changing the Animal Farm commandments. Eventually, he even gets rid of the revolutionary song Old Major taught them and makes up a new song for why the pigs now walk on only two legs.
