In Chapter 8 of "Animal Farm", how are the animals convinced that Snowball was a coward at the Battle of the Cowshed?

    The animals are convinced by deception and rumor that Snowball was really working for the humans. Squealer says that documents which has just been discovered show that Snowball was really working for the humans in the Battle of the Cowshed. Now, Squealer reveals that Snowball is working with the humans again, preparing for another attack. Snowball is also accused of mixing wheat seed with grass seed so the harvest will be poor. Finally, Squealer rewrites history and proclaims that Snowball never really received "Animal Hero, First Class". Snowball just spread a rumor that he had received this medal. Thus, Snowball is made a scapegoat for anything that might go wrong on Animal Farm.
