All the animals participate in the reaping of the harvest and it is more bountiful than it had ever been under Jones. It is brought in in record time and “And not an animal on the farm had stolen so much as a mouthful.” It appears that Old Major's dream has come true. All they animals, but especially Boxer, are committed to the revolution. There is no work on Sunday and the pigs learn to read as do other animals according to their ability. However, the struggle for power between Snowball and Napoleon is just beginning and it is evident the pigs are taking more than their fare share of the food.
