In Chapter 5, Mollie leaves the farm after Clover confronts her because she has been slacking off. It is later found out that she has been seen outside a pub hitched to someone's cart. She is wearing one of the ribbons that was (along with getting sugar) her main concern.
Mollie is supposed to represent people who only care about material comfort and don't care if they have any freedom.
