Animal Dreams | Characters

As always, Kingsolver has populated her novel with a wide array of complex, believable characters. The characters are of Anglo, Spanish, and Native American descent, and for the most part Kingsolver avoids stereotypes. There are few stock or cardboard characters, with the possible exception of the mining company executives, newspaper reporters, and politicians, none of whom appear directly in the novel but are only spoken about.
