Narrative/Point of View
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is narrated in third person, with the characters described as "he" or "she." The narrator is reliable but is not omniscient ("all-knowing"). Unless a character speaks his thoughts, they remain unknown. The narrator limits the point of view to the characters of Rick Deckard and J. R. Isidore, with a brief exception for Iran at the end of the novel. The narrator knows the world of this future society well enough to explain Isidore's condition, as well as the importance of the Rosen Association....
