Posted by bocateacher322 on Wednesday February 25, 2009 at 10:27 AMThe actual definition of psychochemistry is the study of chemicals that have psychological effects. And psychopharmocology is the study of drugs that affect the mind. It is the branch of pharmacology that deals with the study of the actions, effects, and development of psychoactive drugs. Psychopharmacology is different than regular pharmacology in that it focuses mainly on drugs that affect psychiatric disorders. This includes, but is not limited to the four main groups of disorders which are schizophrenia, anxiety, mania and depression. Psychopharmacology deals with the drugs to treat mental and psychological disorders.
