Introduction

Marietta College, founded in 1835, is a private liberal arts college. In addition to regional accreditation, Marietta has baccalaureate program accreditation with ABET and CAAHEP. The library contains 249,122 volumes and 133,116 microform items, and subscribes to 550 periodicals including electronic. Computerized library services include the card catalog, interlibrary loans, database searching, and Internet access. Special learning facilities include a learning resource center, an art gallery, a radio station, a TV station, an observatory, a greenhouse, and a geology annex. The 120-acre campus is in a small town 115 miles southeast of Columbus. Including any residence halls, there are 40 buildings.
