Introduction
High Point University, founded in 1924, is a private coeducational, liberal arts university related to the United Methodist Church. It offers day and evening undergraduate degree programs and evening graduate degree programs. There are 3 undergraduate schools and 1 graduate school. In addition to regional accreditation, High Point has baccalaureate program accreditation with NCATE and CAAHEP. The library contains 244,000 volumes, 64,400 microform items, and 6700 audio/video tapes/CDs/DVDs, and subscribes to 1522 periodicals including electronic. Special learning facilities include a learning resource center, art gallery, radio station, and TV studio.
