Introduction
Albertson College of Idaho, founded in 1891, is a private institution offering degree programs in liberal arts education and the sciences. The college runs on a 12-6-12 calendar, with a 6-week intercession. In addition to regional accreditation, ACI has baccalaureate program accreditation with NASDTEC. The library contains 183,308 volumes, 17,000 microform items, and 1717 audio/video tapes/CDs/DVDs, and subscribes to 703 periodicals including electronic. Computerized library services include the card catalog, interlibrary loans, database searching, Internet access, and laptop Internet portals. Special learning facilities include a learning resource center, art gallery, natural history museum, planetarium, and rock and mineral collection. The 43-acre campus is in a small town 25 miles west of Boise. Including any residence halls, there are 21 buildings.
