America Beyond 2001 | Entitlement Programs Are Not Sustainable
Throughout America’s history, each succeeding generation has enjoyed the promise of a better standard of living. The goal of this Commission [the Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement and Tax Reform] is to help maintain that promise—to help secure for America’s children a standard of living that is better than that which we enjoy today. To achieve this goal, the Commission will assess the need for entitlement and tax reform and make specific recommendations for reform to the President.
