Are the actions of the various characters in Aeneid in keeping with what you would expect of persons of their nature? In what way?

    Yes, the actions of the characters in the Aeneid are what I would expect of them…given the larger context and purpose of the work. By that I mean, Aeneas is not the obvious hero of some of the Greek epics. He is not the pure proud warrior Achilles; he is not the purely loyal warrior Hector from the Iliad. Instead, he is meant as an object of instruction on duty to Rome and the gods, more even than warrior ethos. All his actions make sense in that light, as do the actions of other characters.
