Any project in advertising, or for that matter, any project in business and management, must start with an objective to be achieved. Without the objective objective it is neither possible to select a meaningful project, nor workout details such as questionnaire design. In any case, I would associate a questionnaire with marketing research rather than advertising.
If you have in mind some kind of marketing research related to advertising by Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI). I suggest the following approach.
- First identify the product or service of CLRI to which the advertising relates.
- Identify the purpose of advertisement. It could be many different things like introducing a new product to the market, creating brand awareness, explaining some new features of an existing product, and reassuring existing customers.
- Is it do design an new advertisement or to evaluate an existing one.
- If it is to design a new campaign, exactly what aspect of the advertisement campaign design needs to be researched. The list for the subject for this can be very large - whatever aspect need to be specified in the design can be researched.
- If it is an existing advertisement, or advertisement under development, the research can relate to measuring effectiveness against any of the advertisement objectives, and relate to any or all of the advertisement design features.
- Determine the broad approach for the market research.
- Detailed design of marketing methodology along with nature of data to be collected and analysis to be performed.
Only after all this preliminary work, it will be appropriate to get down to details like questionnaire design.
