Jim and Huck rescue two extortionists (cheaters or frauds) and they join Huck and Jim on the raft. The younger one of the two says he is the son of an English Duke and his father's successor. The older one says he is the lost son of Louise XVI the true King of France. Therefore they are named the "Duke" and the "King" who manipulate Jim and Huck to remain on the raft and commit crimes, like schemes to tell people, to rip off their money. For example, like the Royal Nonesuch, but the people become very angry and this forces the Duke and the King to escape the town and check if news of their crimes have reached another town.
