Miss Watson dislikes the fact that Huck is not "civilized". In other words, he has not been brought up with the manners and knowledge that people in the city have. He is not used to formal clothing, not used to having a set schedule, not used to sitting still for long periods. In Chapter 1 she scolds Huck. "“Don't scrunch up like that, Huckleberry—set up straight;” and pretty soon she would say, “Don't gap and stretch like that, Huckleberry—why don't you try to behave? She is convinced Huck is not trying hard enought.  She is also concerned that Huck does not know or care enough about religion.  "She said all a body would haveto do there was to go around all day long with a harp and sing, forever and ever. So I didn't think much of it," Huck says. She is horrifed Huck would want to go "to the bad place." "She got mad then, but I didn't mean no harm. All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change, I warn't particular. It is obvious Miss Watson does not understand Huck and Huck does not understand Miss Watson.
