As a major figure in American and world literature, Huckleberry Finn has appeared in every medium: illustration, film, radio, theater, television, and even cartoon. The most faithful of these is perhaps the 1986 PBS adaptation. The most interesting is probably John Seelye's The True Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Evanston, IL: Northwestern University, 1970), which rewrites the book to suit its critics.
