        <description><![CDATA[The first clue is that Mr. Cubit says "Last year I came up to London for the Jubilee" clearly that is Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee - which was as you know on June 22, 1897.  That is enough to get the ball rolling.  Also Doyle wrote these stories to be contemporary of HIS time.]]></description>
