    In this very short chapter, Junior emails Rowdy a few days after the end of basketball season, apologizing for how things turned out when their two schools last played each other.  Rowdy responds with a typically insulting pledge to "kick (Reardan's) asses next year".  Junior is heartened by Rowdy's reply.  Although it is exceedingly brief and crude, it was also "a little bit friendly", reminiscent of the way the two friends used to interact before Junior left the reservation.  Realizing that this is the first time that Rowdy has actually talked to him since that time, Junior is happy (Chapter 26).
