About the Author: Warren Earl Burger (1907–1995) was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He received a law degree from St. Paul College of Law in 1931, and served as assistant attorney general from 1953 to 1956. He was a judge in the United States Court of Appeals from 1956 to 1969.
