About the Organization: The Central Conference of American Rabbis, established in 1889, consists of Reform Judaism rabbis. At a meeting in Columbus, Ohio, in 1937, the group produced a document called "The Guiding Principles of Reform Judaism." The continuing purpose of the Central Conference is to help rabbis and laity in their practice of Reform Judaism.
