About the Architects: The famous architectural firm of Eggers & Higgins was comprised of Daniel Higgins (1886–1953) and Otto R. Eggers (1882–1964). Higgins left school to support his family after eighth grade, eventually learning accounting and architecture. Eggers was hired by John Russell Pope as a talented architect in 1912.
